Chimera Forms is not just the screen where you drag fields around. The form builder, response data, email triggers, quotas, collaborators, embeds, hosted links, branding, exports, and publishing controls all live together.

Visual form builder

Drag in fields, groups, rich text, date scheduling, and new pages. The live canvas is meant to look like the form people will actually use.

Logic that stays logical

Show or hide questions based on earlier answers. Hidden fields are ignored by server-side validation, so old values cannot quietly break a workflow.

Serious date scheduling

Offer recurring weekdays, seasonal windows, blackout dates, lead time, upcoming-date lists, time zones, and capacity rules.

Responses and exports

Work with submissions inside Chimera Forms, then export to CSV, TSV, Excel, JSON, or newline-delimited JSON when you need the data elsewhere.

Built for normal people too

Power should not require a CSS vocabulary test.

One of my goals with Chimera Forms is simple: the person building a form should not have to be a developer. Common design choices use color pickers, sliders, dropdowns, toggles, plain-language help, and sensible defaults.

When a developer does need more control, the deeper tools are still there. Custom CSS has line numbers, autocomplete, pseudo-state support, full-screen editing, and a selector reference so you do not have to hunt through the DOM.

Scheduling that understands real calendars

Not every date picker is a scheduling tool.

If your program offers tours every Tuesday and Thursday from March through November, Chimera Forms can model that directly. If Thanksgiving is blocked, it disappears. If a special Saturday is offered, it can be added. If a date reaches capacity, the form can stop offering it.

The same rules are checked again on the server when a response is submitted. The browser is never treated as the final authority.

Every published form can be embedded directly into a page without an iframe, or opened as its own branded hosted page. Chimera Forms also creates a QR code for the hosted link so the same form can move easily between websites, email, print, signage, and events.

Security is not an afterthought

The form may be friendly. The security model does not have to be casual.

Chimera Forms uses CSRF protection, Argon2id password hashing, protected sessions, prepared SQL statements, server-side authorization and validation, signed update packages, safe upload handling, audit logging, origin-aware embeds, and strict browser security headers.

Public embed tokens are not admin secrets. They are scoped to loading and submitting a published form.

Logic is validated twice. The server does not trust a browser to decide what was visible or required.

Updates are signed. Chimera checks the release signature and payload hashes before installing an update.

What Chimera Forms is trying to be.

Is Chimera Forms only for simple forms?

No. Simple forms should stay simple, but the architecture is being built for surveys, registration, scheduling, quotas, branching workflows, collaboration, automation, and serious response management.

Do I have to know CSS?

No. Everyday design options are exposed as friendly controls. Custom CSS is there for people who want deeper control, not as the price of admission.

Can I share a form without embedding it?

Yes. Published forms have a hosted link and QR code, and the hosted page can be branded with a logo or banner, formatted content, colors, spacing, and custom CSS.

Can more than one person work on a form?

Yes. Form owners can add collaborators, and Chimera Forms keeps ownership, editing, response access, and management permissions separate.
